Week 1: Arrival and Orientation


Monday: Arrival

  • Airport pick-up and transfer to shared accommodation.

  • Welcome orientation and briefing about the volunteer program and travel itinerary.

  • Evening: Group dinner and introduction to traditional South African cuisine.


Tuesday-Friday: Volunteer Work (8am-2pm)

  • Engage in volunteer activities according to the program's focus (e.g., community development, wildlife conservation, education, etc.).

  • Lunch provided during volunteer work.

  • Afternoons free for relaxation or optional activities.


Week 2: Kruger National Park Adventure


Saturday-Sunday: Kruger National Park

  • Depart for Kruger National Park on Saturday morning.

  • Full weekend safari experience in Kruger National Park.

  • Witness diverse wildlife, including the Big Five.

  • Overnight stays in the park's accommodation.


Week 3: Exploring Blyde River Canyon and Johannesburg


Monday: Return from Kruger

  • Return from Kruger National Park and rest.

  • Evening: Group reflection session on the safari experience.


Tuesday: Blyde River Canyon

  • Depart for Blyde River Canyon (Motlatse Canyon) tour.

  • Explore iconic viewpoints like God's Window and Bourke's Luck Potholes.

  • Return to shared accommodation in the evening.


Wednesday: Johannesburg City Tour

  • Guided tour of Johannesburg's key landmarks, including Apartheid Museum, Constitution Hill, and Maboneng Precinct.

  • Learn about the city's history and cultural diversity.


Thursday: Soweto Tour

  • Explore Soweto, a historically significant township.

  • Visit Nelson Mandela's former residence and the Hector Pieterson Museum.

Friday: Volunteer Work (8am-2pm)

Week 4: Wildlife and Coastal Adventures


Saturday-Sunday: Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Safari

  • Depart for Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Reserve.

  • Enjoy a safari experience in a different setting.

  • Observe various wildlife species and breathtaking landscapes.


Monday: Lake St Lucia Hippo Boat Cruise

  • Morning boat cruise on Lake St Lucia.

  • Observe hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife.

  • Return to accommodation in the afternoon.


Tuesday: Scuba Diving

  • Discover the underwater world with a scuba diving experience.

  • Enjoy the rich marine life and vibrant coral reefs.

  • Evening: Group dinner by the beach.


Wednesday: Beach Relaxation

  • Spend a relaxing day at the beach.

  • Enjoy the sun, sand, and water activities.

  • Optional beach games and picnics.


Thursday: Township Tour

  • Engage in a deeper township experience.

  • Interact with locals, learn about their daily lives, and participate in community activities.


Friday: Volunteer Work (8am-2pm)

Week 5: Durban and Cultural Immersion


Saturday: Durban City Tour

  • Explore Durban's urban highlights, including the Golden Mile and Victoria Street Market.

  • Experience the blend of city life and coastal beauty.


Sunday: Traditional Zulu Food Experience

  • Participate in a traditional Zulu cooking workshop.

  • Learn about Zulu cuisine and preparation methods.

  • Enjoy a flavorful meal you helped prepare.


Week 6: Food Markets and Farewell

  • Departure for the airport and airport drop-off.
